Most Reliable WordPress Website Maintenance and Technical Support Services in 2022

Serious WordPress site owners and professionals know that it’s required to have an up-to-date, secure and backed-up website for everything to run smoothly. This is when WordPress maintenance services come in.

Whether you are new to WordPress or already have years of developing websites under your belt, you can significantly benefit from a WordPress maintenance plan. This will save you a lot of time so you can focus on what matters.

In this article, we will look at quality options for WordPress maintenance and technical support services and go over what each has to offer.

Keep in mind that we are a WordPress hosting and maintenance business ourselves; we’ll go over how FalconStack can help your business and move on to other options that we think are relevant (there are tons of good maintenance companies worth mentioning in this article).

Before we start, what is WordPress website maintenance?

This is a rather broad term, but usually it includes several or all of the following: hosting, backups, restore, staging, WordPress updates, emergency fixes, improved security, performance tweaks, technical support and so on.

Please note that all the companies listed here are excellent options for WordPress maintenance and technical support; we are not using any affiliate links in this article and only chose to showcase these businesses because we believe that they are great. The Highlights section at the end of each item shows you what’s particular about the service. The Note section is not a cons list; it only provides extra information for you to make the best choice.

This list is in no particular order. We had to start with our own business, though.

FalconStack WordPress maintenance services

FalconStack is, you guessed, an all-in-one WordPress site management service. We provide our customers with reliable hosting, WordPress core, theme & plugin updates, scheduled backups & restore, staging site, security, performance (caching, image compression) as well as uptime monitoring, fast technical support and emergency fixes in case something goes wrong with your website.

Once on a plan with FalconStack, you get access to a dashboard where you can perform several operations such as backing up (there are scheduled backups too), restoring your website at any point in time, viewing uptime monitoring data, pushing/pulling changes from staging to live and from live to staging as well as requesting technical support.

Our WordPress care plans start at $29/m (Essentials), including fast hosting and all of the core features. The next plan (Autopilot) costs $59/m and includes priority support, managed updates and unlimited emergency fixes to ensure your website is never down. We also have a third plan (Complete) which includes custom hosting (tailored to your needs) with custom backup frequency and dedicated technical support.

You can manage multiple websites with FalconStack from a single, unified dashboard. We offer bulk discounts in this case. Migration is free with any plan and there is no commitment required; it’s 100% up to you.

Cost: $29/m – $299/m

  • Reliable hosting
  • Unified dashboard
  • One-click backup/restore/staging

  • Relatively new business

WP Buffs

WP Buffs WordPress maintenance services

One can’t make a WordPress maintenance service list without including WP Buffs, probably the most popular in this list.

WP Buffs offer weekly updates, 24/7 uptime monitoring, emergency fixes and daily cloud backups as part of their Maintain plan. Starting from their second plan, you get their famous “unlimited 24/7 website edits” feature as well as security optimization. They have other plans with more features like speed optimization, custom code monitoring and even hosting support, Git management, and multisite support.

They have white-label plans where “[they] use an email address you’ve set up for [them] (such as [email protected]) and have your signature and logo at the bottom of every email [they] send for you”. White-label can be very useful for web agencies and WP Buffs is one of the only WordPress maintenance businesses offering this service, make sure to check them out.

Cost: $79/m – $447/m

  • Most popular
  • 24/7 support
  • Unlimited site edits
  • White-label

  • No hosting
  • No staging site
  • No one-click backup/restore

FixRunner WordPress technical support

FixRunner is another alternative for WordPress support services. Although less popular than WP Buffs, they offers similar services as well as one-time fixes.

Going for one of their entry-level plans, you will get features like technical support (limited monthly time), backups, core and theme/plugin updates, uptime monitoring with security scans, and on-page SEO optimization (although it’s unclear if they install a plugin for you or improve your pages/give advice).

Their one-time fix service allows you to “book” them for 30 minutes, where they help you fix any issue you may have with your WordPress site.

  • One-time fixes
  • 24/7 support
  • White-label

  • Hosting & staging optional
  • Limited support time

SiteCare WordPress care plans

Another option you could go for is SiteCare. It is another all-in-one solution for WordPress maintenance, and they have all the essential features you will need to run a smooth website.

Their first plan includes WordPress core, theme and plugin updates, spam filtering, site restore and phone/chat support. You will need to upgrade if you need features like multisite and e-commerce support.

They also provide WordPress hosting, email marketing, and SEO services, but it isn’t included in their maintenance plans.

Note that SiteCare is a bit expensive compared to other services, with their first plan starting at $990/y (monthly billing not available for this plan). It can be a good option if you want to have everything in one place (including SEO services, email marketing, etc.).

Cost: $299/m – $1200/m

  • Spam filtering
  • Offer additional services

  • Costly
  • Hosting/staging not included
  • No performance feature
  • No uptime monitoring
